DMK not against Kudankulam nuclear power plant

DMK President M Karunanidhi today clarified that his party was not against the controversial Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project, saying, DMK always supports industrial growth in a scientific manner.
Speaking to reporters here, the 88-year-old former Chief Minister said, We are not against developmental projects like Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant. We are in favour of industrial growth in a scientific manner.
He was replying to a question on Union Minister V Narayanasamy's reported observation that DMK initially supported the Kudankulam power project, but later backed out.
