Actress Shruti Haasan fortunes have shot up skywards since the record breaking success of Gabbar Singh.
The actress who used to be referred as
"iron leg" has become the golden girl of Tollywood with filmmakers
making a beeline to cast her in their films. Buzz is that the singer
turned actress has been signed up to play the lead opposite actor Ram in
his next venture.
Santosh Srinivas, who directed Kandireega earlier with Ram is directing the untitled movie. Bellamkonda Suresh who produced Kandireega is also producing this film. The movie had run into trouble after the director and producer had a fall out initially after Bellamkonda Suresh allegedly slapped the director. But everything seems to be resolved and the film is expected to go on the floors soon.
Ram is currently shooting for director Bhaskar's film, Ongole Gitta. Shruti Haasan on the other hand is occupied with her Bollywood assignments, Prabhu Deva's film and Arjun Rampal's D Day.
