Controversial film : A Woman in Bramhanism receives ban ruling

The committee which was appointed to watch the movie 'A woman in Braamminism' has recommended a ban on the movie.

The chairperson of the committee, Nilam Sawhney, principal secretary, women and child welfare department, had watched the film along with eight other members on November 5 and felt that there was a lot of obscenity and vulgarity in it.
The committee also felt that since the movie would hurt the sentiments of the Brahmin community, it should not be released.

Kajol stays mum on tussle between YRF, ADF

Kajol stays mum on tussle between YRF, ADF

Kajol has refused to comment on the Competition Commission of India (CCI) rejecting Ajay Devgn Films' (ADF) complaint against Yash Raj Films (YRF) alleging monopolistic practices. "I am not going to comment on that. Thank you," the 38-year-old said here Tuesday at the opening of Disney Princess academy, Mumbai.
ADF complained to the CCI against YRF alleging malpractice in connection with the release of the former's "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" (JTHJ), with the latter's "Son Of Sardaar" (SOS) on Diwali, Nov 13. It was alleged that YRF was using its dominant position to ask exhibitors to dedicate more screens to JTHJ instead of SOS.
She not only had a good working relation with YRF, but is also a good friend of Shah Rukh Khan who plays lead role in JTHJ.
When asked if she sees herself being caught in the crossfire, Kajol said: "Again, I am not going to comment on that. I have come for an event, let's stick to that."
Ajay Devgn Films has now approached the Competition Apellate Tribunal.

Prabhas adding new packs for Rajamouli's movie

Many agree that prabhas is the most under rated hero in Tollywood and his complete BO stamina is yet to be put under a test.
Thanks to the combination of Rajamouli and prabhas, there is an enormous hype built on new project which will go on sets by end of this year with a subject based on history mixed with socio fanatsy. As prabhas is set to play a warrior in this venture, Rajamouli wanted a robust physique for his hero.

Relieved from tensions of 'Rebel' and 'Mirchi,' we hear that prabhas is currently undergoing a tough short period crash course in body building under the guidance of a physical trainer.
More than adding the new packs, Rajamouli wanted some more muscle to be put up in overall body of prabhas and the actor is on special diet regime. As we know the dedication of Rajamouli and prabhas towards the films, we are surely to see a young Rebel Star who can beat the rest of Six Packs Star Heroes in entire India.

Protest against Denikaina Ready continues

The row over Telugu movie 'Denikaina Ready' is refusing to die down with activists of Brahmin organisations staging a protest here Wednesday.
Demanding a ban on the movie starring Manchu Vishnu, protesters tried to march towards Raj Bhavan but were arrested. Raising slogans against Vishnu, they blocked traffic.
Some leaders of BJP, TDP and TRS also joined the protesters, who were demanding the arrest of Vishnu and his father, veteran actor Mohan Babu, for last week's attack on Brahmins.
They alleged that people who were protesting outside Mohan Babu's house Oct 31 night were beaten up by his henchmen.
The organisations are seeking a ban on the movie for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of Brahmins.

The Brahmin groups have already lodged a complaint with state human rights commission, which directed the police commissioner to submit a report on the incidents. Vishnu also filed a complaint with the human rights commission that some people attacked his house.
The protest near Raj Bhavan took place even as a group of Brahmin priests from Chennai expressed solidarity with Mohan Babu. They told reporters in Hyderabad that it was unfair to make allegations against a person who had utmost respect for Brahmins.
In another development, Telugu film producers' association also backed Mohan Babu. They found fault with the organisations attacking theatres, houses of filmmakers and other property.
Eminent producer D. Ramanaidu said it was for the censor board to take a decision when any group raises objections to certain scenes
