The YSR Congress Legislature Party is scheduled to meet on Friday under the leadership of its Honorary President, YS Vijayamma.
Party legislators are likely to draw up a
strategy to help people in the flood affected areas. Cyclone Nilam had
triggered heavy rains and many parts of the state were reeling from the
effects of floods. Thousands of acres of paddy, cotton and other crops
were damaged by rains. Many people were also rendered homeless.
Vijayamma had recently toured the flood affected areas in the state. She had a face-to-face meeting with the farmers over the crops that were destroyed by cyclone Nilam.

The party legislators, MLCs and senior
representatives of the party are also invited to the meeting which will
be held at 11 am at the camp office of YS Vijayamma.
